A.R. Brouwer Co. constructed a new facility for the University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU) on the west side of Ann Arbor. The 2-story brick building had a unique blue glass window wall stairwell on the north elevation, a front canopy for drive-up banking, and a full basement. The main floor featured teller windows, a member service area, offices and a conference room. The second floor was finished to serve as a training facility for all UMCU employees, including a large conference room. The basement contained storage and supply rooms, an employee lounge and a lunchroom.
