Basic Job Functions

We are seeking an individual that is organized, has excellent communication skills, and can multitask. Must have 5 – 8 years of construction management experience and be skilled in understanding project drawings and specifications. Degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations. He/she will oversee Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and Assistant Superintendents. This individual will also work directly with the A.R. Brouwer President, Estimators, Accounting Manager, Marketing Director, and Superintendents. 

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written  
  • Must be goal-oriented 
  • Must be team-oriented 
  • Extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects 
  • Knowledge and experience reading and analyzing architectural, structural, and civil drawings, specifications, and all project/construction documents 
  • An understanding of construction management procedures and documents, including subcontracts, change order process, budgeting, purchasing, and forecasting  
  • Able to create construction master schedules using MS Project 
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, MS Project), PDF editing, and web-based project management software, such as Procore
