Community Involvement

Giving back to the Dexter community and throughout many non-profit organizations in Southeast Michigan has been
a priority since day one when Steve Brouwer founded A.R. Brouwer Company in Dexter in 1998. Supporting local businesses and organizations has been shown in various ways, ranging from monetary contributions, community outreach, and donation of resources. A.R. Brouwer encourages its employees and partners to participate in programs that help to improve the communities we live, work, and play in.

One example is the gazebo in Dexter Community Park, which was a highly visible contribution to the community.
A.R. Brouwer Company partnered with local subcontractors to donate time and material for the gazebo project, making it a real hometown collaboration. Another example is the Monument Park Building, located in the heart of downtown Dexter. A.R. Brouwer constructed the Monument Park Building, and Steve received the Dexter Chamber's 'Spark Plug' award for the positive impact he made on the community as a result of the landmark project.

Furthermore, Steve currently serves as Chairman of Dexter's Downtown Development Authority. See more of our professional associations here.
